Refrigerator model#, part# of the filter?? I mean the least expensive Whirlpool's filter (new P/N) either, 4396508or 4396510. I have checked the net they are somewhere $2 to $5 cheaper thanLowes and if you add S&H, I might as well buy it at Lowes.

In reality, itis a way of extracting a lot of money from you when it can be done muchcheaper. As you saw, the filters are in the $17 to $22 range. Simplein-line filters are about $6. If you have a good water supply, you don'tneed one.
