Question: Subcontactor installed water purification filter my kitchen. 36 hrs. later/hose broke my home flooded-do I sue He said he knew how to install the filter and what should be done. I trusted him! Within 36 hrs. the hose busted and my entire house flooded in the middle of the night. I had the filter for 10 yrs without using it. It is guaranteed for life so I wasn't concerned. The installer said he checked the filter and hose before installing it and they were fine.
Answer: ind the contractor and let him know what happened.TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING - this is for insurance. do NOT throw away the hose or othr parts.wasthe contractor liscensed and bonded?! when i had a problem with a toilet that flooded my h ouse - the insurance company took care of everything and they then decided if they wanted to go after the manufacturer.
