Question: does anyone have a recommendation for a source for replacement waterfilter cartridges? the rv dealer wants $30 and the local mom-and-pophardware store and the mega-hardware-store don't have a clue where ican find one. this is our first rig with a water filter. the oldcartridge is an everpure adc quick change cartridge.
Answer: ... that doesnt seem like a lot for a filter. it depends on what itscapabilties are.taste & odor ,chemicals cysts ,bacteria etc. what kindof capacity or gallons.i stock filters from 500gal. to 50,000gal.(yes50,000). i would suggest that you use a cyst rated filter/carbon blockor go one step further with a ceramic filter system .this is one stepfurther it has all the same features as above but removes 99.99% ofharmful bacteria also. i would use these filters at a special faucetused only for drinking water. these will only pruduce about 1gal. min.we also have point of entry, cyst rated filters also .if it was my RV iwould put a 50 micron point of entry spin-down filter that will lastyou for many years and very low maint. this is the only P.O.E. I use.i put one on every sysem i install. it protects all your exspensiveplumbing from sand and sediment.your specialt filter system will lastyou alot longer if it is only used for drinking and cooking.-----------anyway no matter what type of filter you need i probally have it andmaybe save you some $$$$$$$$$$$
