Question: No milk, fat, aspertame (sp), amalgam, meat (including chickenand fish), glutin, etc., etc. I really wanted to go on a dietand have lost nearly 20 lbs in 3 weeks following a 1200 caldiabetic diet. Now you have to know that it includes a lot ofthe things you say I shouldn't eat, with the exception of theamalgam. But then if I have amalgam, which I don't, you say Ishouldn't chew the rest of it 'cause I'll release the Mercury. Sure would like it if one of you diet wizzards would sit down andwrite a diet that I CAN eat. Remember, I am diabetic on insulin. Not that I don't appreciate your thoughts. It's just that Iwould like something to fill my belly besides purified bottledwater.
Answer: I'm no diet wizard but I have been able to help a few people over thelast 5 or 6 years by supplying them with a diet system that learnsfrom symptom changes. My line of work is neural networks so that'swhat I have used to produce this adaptive diet system. When mysymptoms began to get worse and I was diagnosed has having MS Idecided to stop my diet service and make the software available sothat anyone with a W95 PC could use it. It is now being beta tested by10 people, including some subscribers to this group. After a few bugshave been fixed and I get a reference number from the registrationhandlers I will upload it to a convenient ftp site. I've been using the system on myself for about 2 months and it hasalready pushed my diet to exclude dairy and wheat products. It'sprovided me with a lot of new diet ideas because I can look throughthe list of suggested foods, then add a few new foods that are not onthe avoid list and, with a bit a imagination, create quite good meals. carbonated mineral water which has previously been used to wash the feetof vestal virgins in the high mountains of France is also acceptablealong with the purified bottled water... I hear super blue green algae (aka expensive health food store pond scum)goes well with the water!
