Question:
I asked for the full bore analysis for Schaumburg water and got it in the mail yesterday. It includes the #'s for the raw lake input, South Water Purification plant distribution, and Jardine Water Purification distribution. It has 50 some various measurements including all the various metals and organics. I'd post it all here but it's a major type job and also has a limited audience (Cook County Il)

Answer: Perhaps not quite as limited an audience as you might think... I live in Woodridge, and we get Chicago water here -- so it *is* distributed outside of Cook County. (Isn't Schaumburg in DuPage County, or am I wrong?) Also, I would imagine that *anyone* who lives in a community that draws their water from Lake Michigan probably has similar water...

Jardine Water Filtration Plant is located immediately north of Navy Pier. It feeds the Chicago Ave. pumping station and another pumping station to the north (perhaps Howard?). I inspected Jardine for asbestos back in 1988...it is a sight to see if you can get in. [Olive Park, adjacent to the west side of Jardine, is built atop a huge storage reservoir for filtered water. Think of a four story underground parking garage the size of the park filled with water.]

I believe Jardine serves the northwest and west suburbs.
