Question:
you're a water afficianado so you might scoff but I double filter first thru the instapure water filter on the tap, then thru the brita which chills in the fridge any information?

Answer: I originally began buying Aquafina because my wife found that it eased her arthritis so much that she barely notices it now except on very bad days. If it helps, damn the costOtherwise, you would never have found me *paying* for water.

We went the brita bit, but it didn't filter out the lime, which then left deposits in the coffee maker. Using white vinegar to remove the lime deposits has eventually destroyed every coffee maker I've ever owned. I've discovered that Absopure sodium-free distilled water (about .65/gal) gives superior tasting coffee and, of course, leaves no mineral deposits. Since I just spent ~$40 for a Melitta coffee maker, I can afford to buy distilled water for a while knowing I won't have to replace the coffee maker for years.

When I was a kid, we drank water and milk. We only had soda pop on "special" occasions. Up until about three months ago, I drank everything *but* water! And I was always stuffy in my sinuses. Now, I drink a modicum of water every day, and the stuffiness is gone. Plus, it helps to remove the excess sugar from the Coke and Pepsi that I do still drink, but in reduced amounts.
