American Bottled Water

Question:
bottled water labelling ?

Answer: American bottled waters average 2.7 mg/L magnesium, while the bottled waters in the rest of the world average 28 mg/L magnesium --- over ten times as much! Similarly, American mega-brewed beer, such as Budweiser, contain 34 mg/L magnesium, while European beers contain several times as much, up to 250 mg/L.

Part of the problem is that current nutrition labelling laws treat water the same way they treat foods, with the "reference amount" being 8 oz. The problem with that is that most foods are consumed in single servings per day, but the RDA for water is eight 8-oz. servings. So the reference amount for water should be eight servings, not one serving. To solve this problem, I have submitted the following petition to the FDA.
